About the University

张家界学院，前身为吉首大学张家界学院（独立学院），始建于2002年。2023年9月，经教育部批准，转设为独立设置的普通本科高等学校。学校坐落在国际著名旅游城市张家界市，面朝天门山，毗邻武陵源，集“三千奇峰、八百秀水”灵气于一身，是学习修身的净土、改革奋进的热土、成长成才的沃土。学校现有用地面积1693亩，现有师生22000余人，可招生本（专）科专业53个。学
